Friends it is Covid all over again…🙄🙄🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

ALL ports from Texas to New York close down today because of strikes and daily necessities like toilet paper, water, eggs, paper towels, etc are already hard to find nationwide. I purchased toilet paper which was shipped and arrived today because Sam’s and Walmart were out of stock online. It showed 200+ people locally had it in their shopping carts 😳😳.
These resources were/ are already being diverted to east coast because of hurricane relief so everyone needs to take it seriously. Stores had extra trucks yesterday and today come deliver trying to get necessities for the public before they run out.

Even if the strike lasts only a day or so, it puts a huge strain on the ports when they do open back up because they have to fit shipments that are refrigerated food items first and it will cause delays.

It’s not a time to “Panic Buy” but be smart and focus more on purchasing necessities before running out.

When you’ve DESTROYED your kitchen and filled the sink with dirty dishes 🤦🏽‍♀️ but yet you still feel accomplished because you’ve gone old school with making broth and bouillon to can!! So I’ll take pleasure that in a messy kitchen, my stove is clean 😂😂

Ok, WHAT do you guys love to eat pickled AND what jellies/ jams/ preserves/ glazes/ etc??

I was raised in Oklahoma and Texas so there’s not a lot that I haven’t heard of or possibly tried. But I’m going to be pickling and canning goods soon!! This weekend I’m getting my Colorado peaches!!!

Taking donations to go towards food and vet check visit to include vaccinations, microchip, and most likely X-rays for Lady to make sure there aren’t any underlying problems with her limp.

There is a family coming to meet Lady on Saturday to see if she would make a good fit for them.

Any funds raised that are not used yet will be transferred to that family for her vet visit. I can’t take her until next week if she is still with us.

I am not looking to make money off Lady but if there is an excess amount of funds raised, those extra funds will be distributed to local animal rescues.
