Why 33?

For our family, the number 33 dates back to 1978, when we purchased our first little grocery store on the east side of Amarillo. It was then that our distributor assigned 33 as our official store number. Over 40 years later, that small grocery store has transformed and grown into multiple branches, but three things have remained unwavering: family, community mindedness, and the number 33.

To pay homage to the store that started it all, we’ve incorporated our family’s lucky number into every new opportunity. Each of our stores across Pampa, Midland and Amarillo include 33 in the number by which our distributor identifies us. With 33 also in its title, our newest location further honors our longstanding roots in the grocery business. Under the premier banner of Market 33, we’re proud to serve the grocery needs of southwest Amarillo and continue our family legacy.
