We are only two days away from when the family leaves for the pain rehabilitation center. The first week is going to be unbelievably hard for Zach, the clinic is already warned the family of this. If everyone who reads this can just give $10, it could make his living arrangement more bearable. I don't know what else to say except please, it would be the answer to this family's prayers. Thank you! ❤️

There is a family in Amherst NH that desperately needs our help! Their so… Jeanie Stevens Walton needs your support for Please help Zach become healthy again!

Hello all you beautiful people! When I stopped growing for the public, it broke my heart. But I have learned how you can grow your own microgreens without the germination chamber!

Read on to learn how to really do it yourself!
you will need to buy seeds (I get my microgreen seeds from trueleafmarket.com)
you will need to buy one 10x20x1/2” tray without holes, and one with holes. Also buy one deep 10x20 inch tray for covering.

For broccoli, kale, Brussel Sprouts, Amaranth etc; fill the tray with holes with at least a quarter inch of soil spread evenly. Put the tray with holes into the tray without holes. Lightly spray the soil evenly so it is damp. All dirt should be damp, but not soaking with puddles. If any water is in the underneath tray, simply dump it out, and replace. Take a fist full of seeds and cover the surface of the tray as evenly as possible. This will take practice. I just keep it in my fist and let it seep out as I move it all over the tray. Then mist generously with water. Then cover with your deeper tray. In colder months I then place my trays on top of a heated mat set at 80 degrees.

I mist my seeds a lot. about 3 to 4 times a day, and re-cover. If you are unable to do this, make sure you at least mist when you can!! First thing in the morning, then again before you leave for work… as soon as you get home from work, and then again before bedtime). Try to keep the seeds wet- you should see condensation on the tray that covers it. After 2 days you should see sprouting, wait one more day, still misting, at that point take off the cover, put it on a table or a large window sill that gets sun. You can then add 1/2 cup of water in the morning to the underneath tray. Water it daily using the underneath tray. Morning is best. In a few days more, you will be able to start eating it!

For peas and sunflower: Soak peas and sunflower seeds at least 12 hours. Use a lot of water for the peas, they expand. Place a wet paper towel over the sunflowers as they will float, and you don’t want any drying out. With Dunn peas shake while you fill the container with warm water, remove anything that immediately floats. After at least 12 hours of soaking, Take trays with holes, fill to the top with soil. Place in a tray without holes. soak soil (can be soaking wet with puddles). Soil must be filled to top of tray, place seeds on top, then soak again, then put another tray without holes directly onto the soil and then put heavy weight onto of the trays. cinder blocks work great. Mist sides 2x a day. In a few days the sunflower will actually move the cinder blocks! Separate trays and put in light. Always make sure there is water in the tray underneath, and you don’t have to mist it. Happy growing!

you will need to buy 10x20x1/2” trays without holes, and with holes. and a deep 10x20 inch tray for covering.

For broccoli, kale, Brussel Sprouts, Amaranth etc. fill the tray with holes 1/2 way with soil: Put the tray with holes into the tray without holes. soak it, and then mix it up with your hands making a dryish mud with it.

I mist my seeds a lot. about 4-8 times a day, and re-cover. If you are unable to do this, make sure you at least mist when you can!! First thing in the morning, then again before you leave for work… as soon as when you get home from work, and then again before bedtime). Try to keep the seeds wet- you should see condensation on the tray that covers it. (In colder months you may need to buy a heating pad set for 80 degrees to go under the tray during the germination stage). I haven’t had to do that yet though. After a few days you should see sprouting, at that point put it on a table or a large window sill that gets sun. You can then add 1/3 cup of water in the morning to the underneath tray. In a few days more, you will be able to start eating it!

For peas and sunflower: Plant, soak, separately. Soak peas and sunflower seeds at least 12 hours. Use a lot of water for the peas, they expand.
