SAVE THE DATE for our 2nd OPEN MIC hosted by Cody!! This sunshine makes us want to SIIIIIIINNNNNGGGGG....and dance....and read sappy poetry....so, for Spenard 2nd Saturday this month, we are hosting an Open Mic in our parking lot. We will have a tent set up "just in case" - but I'm NOT going to say the "r" word! Cody will be bringing an amp and two mics. Come a little early to sign up for your slot. We can't wait to hear and see the talent that always emerges at these Alaskan events :)

If it's cool enough, Jen will light up the firepit also. So come get a warm or cold drink (we make espresso drinks and teas, and we carry Beach Tribe SodaWorks , Zip Kombucha and Turnagain Brewing cold bubbly drinks!

Meet Ambers experiment/new endeavor- sprouting sandwich sprouts! Food hugger sells an awesome sprouting lid that fits on almost all jars and we have been selling 3 different sprouting seeds!
Sandwich, mung beans and broccoli seeds!
You soak them in water for the first day, then you rinse them every day twice a day and voila! You have sprouts.
I love sprouts but it is very difficult to find them not in plastic (we also sell .microgreens sprouts in bulk!). Growing them yourself is an affordable option. 1-2 tbsp of seeds is all you need per batch! I love the opportunity to watch something grow! Especially that is so nutrient dense!
It never hurts to give something a try. I’ll keep you posted to how my sprout journey goes, or stop by the store to see it in real time!
