We were very sad to hear about the passing of Melvin Parson, founder of We the People Opportunity Farm. Melvin was an important part of our community. Through We the People Opportunity Farm, he created opportunities for people returning from incarceration, offering meaningful work, support, and a place to grow. If you knew him, you knew his impact reached well beyond the work on the farm. He helped many people along the way, and his commitment to second chances and community left a real mark on many lives. We were grateful to have the opportunity to work with Melvin, and our thoughts are with his family, friends, and everyone connected to We the People Opportunity Farm.
