This is Debbie I'm sure you know: I have just a little minute this morning so I wanted to tell you something I'm doing. So many of you have walked our journey with David and myself over the years as we tried to follow the Lord and how He often puts me in the classroom to learn Him better. I'm back in the classroom. One I did not choose to be in or want to learn about. It's called grief. I thought I knew all I ever wanted to know about it from afar. But now it's personal. Oh it's a journey and a hard one. I actually started a class last Sunday called Grief Share that is 13 weeks long. I have homework too. Everyone in my class has something in common. Grief from loosing someone they loved. A statement that screamed at me was this: the only way to escape grief is to never love. So true. I was talking with one of my neighbors last night as I was raking a grave. We talked about loosing our pets. He said it's just too hard to loose them so he didn't think he would have another. I have thought that sometimes as well but then I realize all the love I'd miss without loving them. The class I'm in is for people that has loss humans not pets that was just an example I was telling you about love and grief. So I was very unsure as I pulled into the parking lot last week. It brought back a memory of a different sort that happened to me when I pulled into the oncology department in Birmingham in 2004 for testing of a cyst. I thought to myself HOW DID I GET HERE? I thought this very thing Sunday but I walked thru the door to a room of people asking themselves the same question. I think it's going to be a hard class but one that is part of the journey. I'll share about it with you at times. And yes there are seats left if someone wants to go. You may contact me for the information.

Question: I was awaken at 1 this morning. Something was in my air conditioner duct work. I got a flashlight I thought it must be a kitten. It was a young possum not a baby. Will it find its way back out? Never had this happen in all my years. I started to take the floor grate off and reach in and get it out but he moved. I was actually under my house yesterday looking for a kitten and I noticed some insulation was torn off from a duct but everything seemed in tack. It's kinda tight in some areas under there and I have laid on my back before and wiggled in to many areas but wasn't feeling it yesterday.

Good morning this is Debbie; so I'm not sure this morning what letters are left from the sign. I'm not there this morning. They will be standing in-front of the cleaners today so please stop by. If you asked about holding a letter of Facebook I didn't look at this page till this morning so they were not sat aside. It's almost more than I can handle just getting the workload finished for the cleaners. Each day has been really hot for us working in steam washing and pressing clothes each day. But we made it!!

Good morning this is Debbie; so many many years ago I remember posting a picture of a plate in my picnic table in the back yard and to my surprise how quickly birds gathered. As I watched God began teaching me many things about His character I had no idea He had. That day I shared a story with you. I don't remember what it was about now but I do remember it seemed God used that personal story as a conversation with you about Him. Over and over again I have written personal stories of the classrooms God has put me in over the last several years. You relate in many ways to most of them. I realized not only did God provide food for us but He also encouraged us to tell others about Him and share the good things He does. Shortly before David died I told him when I slowed down I was going to write more short stories. After all these are true as they are personal experiences either in my life or personal observations I have watched. Then the last few months I told myself I should just be silent. Most people simply are not interested but I find that many of you are. So I have kinda opened my journey up to you as a raw walking story of the trials and victories that are real in my life and I have gotten to realize many of you have the same battles and victories. So let's keep on sharing the stories. After I start another load of clothes I'll tell you about a classroom I'm attending now.

It's a good time to talk about kitten adoption while I am talking kittens. These kittens we are working the have been rescued from almost certain death if left not rescued. All mothers were feral cats and had to be trapped. So we get all kittens vaccinations and if we have them to they are old enough we spay or neuter them. If they are adopted early we sponsor spay or neuter at the vet I use. So we do require a vet reference to adopt. We want to put the right kitten and the right parent together. Some are socially ready to go but others will need patience with rehoming as we are still working very hard with each one. These kittens have not been around dogs or children. One video I saw today showed us how happy he was with his bothers and also a doggy. So it is possible in many cases. Then we had a kitten adopted for a sweet 10 year old young lady. They are a perfect match!! Just each one has their own personality and we try to help match your wants with the kitten. We urge you come see them!!

So the hardest thing yet is socializing kittens from wild mothers. It took Scout and Spike 4 months to realize it is ok...

So the hardest thing yet is socializing kittens from wild mothers. It took Scout and Spike 4 months to realize it is ok to trust. But it happened they accepted love and give it back. I am praying that these 2 get a very special home together.

So let me give you an update on kittens. We have 11 that have not yet been adopted. And some on the way. A mommie that had kittens just 4 months ago is almost ready to deliver again. I tried to trap her just after weening but noticed she was pregnant. So we wait and will spay her after she weens the new babies. Hope to trap her before she delivers and let her have them inside. Then we won't miss getting her spay again. Can't wait to see the new babies!! I got a call from the vets office Friday. A newborn needed help, tall fosters are full. So we have been bottle feeding a sweet little boy named Lucky. It's been a very long time since I set a clock to wake up and feed a baby. But that sweet face makes it worth it.
