We are so excited to officially introduce Matt Headley as the new Market Manager for The Downtown Market!
From the very beginning, Matt’s heart for community, local agriculture, and the people behind our market has been incredibly evident, and we truly believe he is going to do amazing things for our market and downtown community.
For Matt, this role is personal.
“The market has been a huge part of my family’s life for years. After experiencing it as both a shopper and a vendor, I wanted to take a more active role in supporting the people who make this space so special.”
If you’ve spent time at the market over the last few years, there’s a good chance you may have already seen Matt helping at his family’s flower booth alongside his wife. Now, he’s excited to step into a larger role serving the entire market community.
One of the things Matt is most looking forward to this season is connecting with vendors and helping continue the growth of the market.
“I’ve always enjoyed the camaraderie behind the booths, and I’m eager to see how I can better support our vendors and help our market grow.”
When asked why farmers markets matter so much, his answer perfectly captures what makes The Downtown Market so special:
“It’s about more than just buying goods; it’s about supporting our local growers and makers and building real, face-to-face connections with our neighbors.”
Matt hopes visitors feel more than just welcomed when they come downtown on Saturdays.
“I want the market to be a place where people feel comfortable slowing down, meeting someone new, and truly enjoying their Saturday morning.”
And if you’re wondering what fuels a Market Manager on early Saturday mornings…

🍌 “I’m also a big fan of stopping by the bakery vendors for banana nut bread.”
Most importantly, Matt wants the community to know that he genuinely welcomes feedback, ideas, and connection.
“My door is always open, and I’d love to hear your feedback or ideas for how we can continue to make this market a great place to visit.”
As we continue growing The Downtown Market, Matt will serve as the primary point of contact for vendors both during the market and throughout the week. He will be leading vendor communications, handling market operations, and helping ensure that both vendors and visitors have a positive experience.
While Karla and Ryleigh will remain actively involved in The Downtown Market, we are excited to work together as a team to continue building a market that supports local farmers, makers, entrepreneurs, and our entire downtown community.
