Even though Sawyer and I couldn’t make it to the farmers market tonight with our flowers, we still got out and enjoyed the evening supporting some amazing local vendors ❤️

We enjoyed:
🥖 Sourdough trail mix & a brownie from Bunny Hill Bakery
🍪 Chocolate chip cookies from Bake with Jenny
🥞 Biscoff pancakes from Lil Mamasitas
🍅 Fresh tomatoes from 1491 Produce
🍋 And lemonade from the sweetest girls doing an amazing job — I didn’t catch the name of their stand, but they were wonderful!

One of my favorite things about market season is getting to support other small businesses and hardworking families in our community. We may have missed setting up tonight, but we still got to enjoy the heart of what makes these evenings so special ☀️

🌧️🌸 Farmers Market Update 🌸🌧️

I am so thankful for the rain and these cooler Oklahoma temperatures… but unfortunately my flowers are feeling a little too thankful too 😂

The cooler weather and rain have slowed down my blooms quite a bit, and I want to make sure I’m bringing you the beautiful, high-quality cut flowers that Back Porch Provisions. Right now, the garden just needs a little extra sunshine and warmth to really show off.

So instead of rushing flowers that aren’t at their best, I’ll be taking a short break from market this week and should be back in a couple of weeks with fresh bouquets, and healthy blooms. 🌿💐

Thank you all so much for the support, encouragement, and patience while this little flower farm grows. The garden is still working hard behind the scenes — and I can’t wait to show you what’s coming next. 🌻

🌿✨ GREENHOUSE UPDATE ✨🌿

The greenhouse is officially bursting with life right now and I could not be more excited! 💚

🌸 Zinnias are blooming in the prettiest soft colors
🔥 Celosia is showing off all the bright reds, oranges, and yellows
🌻 Sunflowers are budding up beautifully
🍅 Tomatoes already have baby tomatoes growing
🌱 Seedlings and cut flower starts are filling every inch of space
🪴 Succulents are thriving and soaking up the humidity
🌺 Dahlia cuttings are rooting

Every tray, bloom, and tiny bud is a reminder that all the long days, watering, transplanting, and greenhouse work are paying off. 🌿

This season is shaping up to be such a beautiful one for Back Porch Provisions and I’m so thankful for everyone following along and supporting this little dream of mine. 💕

🌿✨ GREENHOUSE + FLOWER FARM UPDATE ✨🌿

One of the sweetest moments so far for Back Porch Provisions happened this past week… 💕

I had my very first custom cut flower order for a special friend being honored as Nurse of the Year. 🩺💐

Getting to create something this meaningful with flowers grown right here from my greenhouse and garden was such a full-circle moment for me as both a nurse and flower farmer. 💚

This arrangement was filled with:
🌸 Zinnias
🌸 Cosmos
🔥 Celosia
💜 Gomphrena
🌿 Fresh eucalyptus & rosemary
🌸 Specialty fillers and blooms grown right here at home

Every bouquet I make reminds me why I started this journey — growing beauty, sharing joy, and creating something meaningful with my own hands. 🌿

🌸 CUT FLOWER UPDATE — DAY 9 🌸

I wanted to share a real-life update on one of my fresh cut flower arrangements from Back Porch Provisions.

These flowers were arranged NINE days ago, and honestly I’m pretty amazed at how well most of them are still holding up. 💐

Over the last 9 days:
✨ The zinnias kept blooming beautifully
✨ The gomphrena, Veronica, strawflower, rosemary, filler, and greenery stayed strong
✨ Several focal flowers are still looking fresh and vibrant
✨ Even after almost a week and a half, the arrangement still had enough life left to combine into one larger bouquet

The only flower that finally called it quits today was the hydrangea — which honestly isn’t surprising because hydrangeas are usually one of the thirstiest and shortest-lived cut flowers in arrangements. So I removed it, refreshed everything else, and combined the remaining blooms into one fuller arrangement. 🌿

This is exactly why I’m so passionate about growing specialty cut flowers locally. Fresh-cut flowers straight from the garden simply last longer than most store-bought bouquets because they aren’t spending days in shipping and warehouses before reaching your home.

Day 1 ➡️ Day 9 and still beautiful. 💕

Thank you all so much for supporting my little flower-growing adventure. Watching these flowers bring beauty into homes for over a week makes all the hard work worth it. 🌸
