Queen Doubles

Queen Doubles Trinidadian Street Food A Doubles is the most awesome food ever. It's all cradled like a new-born in a turmeric-yellow leavened bread called barra. I love lamb.

The basis is a delicious curry called chana, which is made of chickpeas, caramelized onions, and garlic. It gets topped with my steller homemade tomato chutney (from dryfarmed SoHum tomaters), grated cucumber, a cilantro sauce called shado beni, and Matouk's brand papaya hot sauce (!!!!bomb.). It's all vegan which is NOT a detriment. But I don't miss meat when I'm with a Doubles. I also serve it without bread for you gluten-free people.
