Since the introduction of conventional and modern coffee plantations, Central and South American rain forests have been destroyed and migrating bird populations have been in rapid decline. Shade grown coffee farms provide a home to over 150 different species of birds, including our own Lost Coast Roast Quetzal bird. Free of any chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides, shade grown coffee creates a healthier environment and a healthier you. As the coffee beans mature slowly under the shade, natural sugars enhance the coffee’s flavor, bringing you a smooth and chocolaty sensation.
