We just received word that there was a wreck on the industrial parkway at the straight creek overpass by the billboards —we are praying for everyone involved.

Folks will have to take an alternate route if coming from I-64 west bound lane. Folks will have to take to Colton exit, then addington road to straight creek.

If from east bound I-64 will have to take Grayson exit, old 60, route 207

We pulled an all nighter to be able to offer some of your favorites!

House made beef and pork hotdogs (footlong and regular) don’t forget the buns! We have them in stock!

Beef sticks! With pepper jack cheese and also Jalapeno cheddar

House made Bologna— hot and regular

We also stocked up most of the freezer items—frog legs, catfish, pizza bites, onion rings.

I was defeated, tired, mentally and physically exhausted….and honestly ready to quit. Then the unthinkable happened— we experienced a rush of business like we have never seen. Seeing the way our community responded to our potential closure gave us hope. It brought us together and put the right people in front of us and gave us new life. We will not mess this thing up—we have one last chance. AW Meat House will NOT be closing!

We aren’t out of the woods entirely— more to come, but we still need y’all more than ever!

Y’all are awesome! We are a few steps closer to this scene. Not going to say it’s a done deal, but I have a pretty good feeling about the future of AW Meat House. Don’t give up on us just yet…..

Be sure to track down Hillbilly Hibachi this week. He has been an awesome customer and friend of AW Meat House. Once we figured out the special blend of cuts that paired with his cooking, it is absolute 🔥.

We have quite a bit of filet tips to move thru him this week— don’t miss out on those! Prob one of his best kept secrets!

Ya’ll definitely showed up today. All. day. long. We appreciate everyone’s patience and for your continued support! Although we didn’t think it was possible to go thru 2000 lbs of ground beef, 800 lbs of chicken, and 500 lbs of bacon, it happened. It will be Tuesday afternoon before we are able to fulfill PICK 5 bundles.

We will be open Sunday, May 24 from 12 - 5. We still have the following:

All steaks (ribeye, sirloin, t-bone, ny strips, filet, tomahawk)
Brisket
Pork butts
Whole chickens
Chicken wings
All pork cuts
Ground chuck patties, 1/2 lb bacon burgers
Jalapeno cheddar Brats

We are going to slice more bacon, and trim up more chicken in the morning! We will not have tubes of burger Sunday— only Patties

We are completely humbled by the response we have received from the community and are giving this thing our best attempt to avoid permanent closure. We will be running wide open until the close of business June 1. We have been preparing for this last push for several weeks, and have enough inventory to run harder than we ever have. We had folks waiting in our parking lot well before opening this morning— don’t worry, we will not be running out of inventory for those looking to stock up.

At this time, the only thing we plan on discounting is our fresh dog food— $2 per pack.

If y’all want wholesale beef or pig, we still have plenty in stock!

What is left in inventory on June 1 will be going to local food banks (not the dog food, though several humans have commented it was pretty good.)

AW Meat House (might) be closing. To ere on the side of caution, our last day will be June 1, 2026.

This decision is out of our control— overwhelming debt to construct this facility, high cattle prices, and some wrong choices along the way led to this event. Although our business has made significant strides over the last year it is still not enough to cover our multi-million dollar mortgage.

We will operate as normal thru the close of business on June 1. All custom beef and pork orders will be completed before this date along with all wholesale orders and will work diligently to tie up any loose ends. We will know more on June 2 after the foreclosure sale is concluded. If there are additional investors out there that would like to help us secure our position at this sale, please reach out to me directly— 606-923-4034.

We are thankful for all of the wonderful customers that we have had the privilege of serving over the last 4 years.
