The shop has been busting at the seams, as we wind down for the season.

We’ve been rolling out the beef and filling the freezer. And also just wrapped up processing for the “Pima County Fair Poultry Project”.

It’s been an awesome season full of amazing customers! May is our last month open, before the shop shuts down for a few months- due to the extreme arizona temps.

If you have anything that needs to go to “freezer camp” before the heat kicks in- let us know!

We will be turning off the cooler sometime in June and will start things back up mid August- weather permitting.

But- There is still time to fill your freezer for grilling season! Contact Natosha to learn more about the beef box options available!

Ever thought about how many cows go into that pack of ground beef you just picked up?

Surprisingly, it’s not just one or even two. On average, a single pound of grocery-store ground beef can come from up to 100 different cows.

And here’s the kicker: a large portion of the beef marked as “Product of USA” is actually imported. That’s right—it could be born, raised, and processed in another country, shipped here frozen, and as long as it’s repackaged in the States, they can put that label on it, stating “product of the USA”. 🤦🏼‍♀️

So, that “fresh” ground beef? It could be sourced from Brazil, Australia, Mexico—an amalgamation of countries and animals. There’s no requirement for them to disclose this information. No rules on how many cows, and certainly no way to trace it back to one steer, one ranch, or one pasture. Just a label and a price tag.

Is it any wonder that beef doesn’t taste like it used to? Real beef shouldn’t be a mystery. It should come from one animal, not a complicated supply chain. Choose quality. Choose transparency.

A real moment in time…

Earlier in the fall we had an unwanted visitor on the porch.

If a deadly snake makes it all way to my front door- he’s gone too far and his time has come to an end.

I used to enjoy snakes- but when I became a mama, that all changed. I’ve got 6 babies to protect and keep safe now. Dispatching animals is not something I enjoy AT ALL- but when duty calls, I answer. 💯💪🏼

🙏🏼 PRAY FOR NEBRASKA 🙏🏼
Close to 600,000 acres of rangeland has been consumed by wildfires over the past couple of days, making the Morrell fire the most damaging fire in Nebraska history.

I was born and raised in the ranching community of western Nebraska and have family that has been evacuated and other family member fighting on the front lines to help contain this devastation.

The losses haven’t been accounted for yet- but this level of loss and devastation will affect many families for years to come.

Please pray for safety, pray for rain and pray that the hearts and Herritage of the ranchers and families affected, will be able to carry on after the fire has taken its toll.
