Although our garden got off to a late start this year, it is now thriving. The erratic weather has actually been advantageous. We are thrilled to be cultivating corn for the first time. Our okra is exceptionally strong and healthy. Additionally, we are growing cucumber, tomatoes, green beans, canaloupe, watermelon, pumpkins, and gourds.

The great pumpkin debacle has come to an end! Mini pumpkins rocked the garden with 67 wins, pie pumpkins managed a measly 2, and sugar pumpkins squeezed out 3 not-quite-mediums. I've got the stats, folks - weeks of growth and watering schedules tracked. Next season, we're going for gold! On the bright side, the season's over and our new garden residents have moved in - adorable pigs, ready to munch all winter long.
