A New Era of Stewardship: Terramonga Hub carries forward the Mother Earth Food Mission❤️

After 13 years of nourishing Western North Carolina with food grown by the hands that tend this land, Mother Earth Food is passing the baton.

✨ Same Team. Same Farms. A New Chapter. ✨

We’re honored to share that Terramonga Farm, based in Fairview, NC, is carrying forward Mother Earth Food’s mission under new ownership as Terramonga Hub - a new home delivery service connecting families with local food.

The Mother Earth Food team you know and love will remain in place packing boxes, building farm partnerships and feeding our community with the same care and dedication that has always guided this work.

“Terramonga means the Earth among us,” says Joe Sabbag, co-owner of Terramonga Farm. “Our name reflects how we live and where we belong.”

As Terramonga Hub deliveries begin on December 1, please join us in celebrating an evolution, a continuation of community, resilience, and connection to the land.

🌱 Follow us at Terramonga Hub to stay updated as this new chapter unfolds!

With gratitude,
💚 The Terramonga Hub Family

Early fall brings a shift in the harvest - crisp greens, hearty cabbages and the first flavors that hint at cozy meals ahead. 🍂

This week we’re celebrating Farm , a four-acre farm just outside Asheville dedicated to growing food with care, community and sustainability. Farm managers Lauren and Daniel pour their passion into every row - reviving once fallow land, nourishing neighbors and tending the soil with practices like crop rotation, cover cropping and minimal tillage. Their vision is simple: food grown with respect for the earth that nourishes both body and spirit. 💚

We are honored to partner with WNC BARN!

The Barnardsville Area Resilience Network (BARN) is a coalition of neighbors building strength together after Hurricane Helene. From disaster recovery to long-term resilience, BARN is helping Barnardsville families rebuild homes, strengthen farm food security, grow local economy, nurture wellness and celebrate cultural vitality.

Mother Earth Food first partnered with BARN through our American Red Cross grant to deliver fresh produce boxes to those most affected. Now, thanks to funds raised by BARN, these boxes will continue reaching Barnardsville families throughout the local season. 🙌

A huge thank-you to Gina Elrod of BARN for leading this effort and keeping fresh, local food flowing where it’s needed most. Together, we are planting seeds of resilience that will carry this community forward and keep our farms thriving, and we couldn't be more thankful! ❤️

Ivy Creek Family Farm in Barnardsville is an example of what happens when love for food and land come together. What started with a borrowed patch of soil has grown into 38 acres of abundance, where Anna and their team grow veggies, flowers, fruits and shiitake mushrooms with care for both people and planet.

We're celebrating the return of their summer crisp lettuce 🥬 along with bok choy and basil!

✨ Crisp salads, bright stir-fries ... every bite is a taste of season and place.

We’re grateful to bring Ivy Creek’s harvest to you. Let it bring life to your meals next week. 💚

Summer’s crown jewel is here! This week’s harvest is a tomato lover’s dream, gathered from our farms and overflowing with variety:

❤️Heirlooms – Wild East Farm & Persephone’s Garden – Juicy, complex and gorgeous on the plate.

🍅Cherry Tomatoes – Ivy Creek Family Farm, Wild East, R Farm – Sweet little bursts of summer joy.

✨Slicing Tomatoes – Ivy Creek Family Farm, Wild East Farm – Perfect for sandwiches, caprese and more.

From the candy-like sweetness of cherries to the layered flavors of heirlooms, each bite tells the story of our region’s soil, sun and the farmers who tend them. They’re best enjoyed fresh, but it’s worth buying a few extras to tuck away for cooler days. Pop them whole into freezer bags, and you’ll have summer’s flavor ready to drop into chili, soups and stews when the weather turns brisk. Now’s the time to bring these beauties home and taste summer in its purest form! 🍅☀️
