Good morning, everyone! 🦞

I’ve had a lot of folks reaching out and asking about crawfish for Labor Day weekend, so I wanted to give everyone a quick update.

I’ve talked with my crawfish suppliers, and unfortunately, they aren’t quite ready to open the crawfish ponds yet. As of right now, we’re looking at mid-September before crawfish may become available. Of course, things can change, so we’ll keep everyone updated as soon as we know more.

Hopefully, we can get some crawfish in time for football season! 🏈🦞

I also want to apologize for not being open the past few weekends. I’ve had quite a bit going on with family, along with a foot injury that I’ve been dealing with. I’m hoping to get the trailer back out next weekend and get back to serving everyone!

🦞 Live Crawfish Update 🦞

Hey everyone! We wanted to give y’all a quick update on our live crawfish.

I just spoke with our supplier, and he’s decided to leave the ponds alone until September. He caught a good amount this week but ended up putting many of them back because the female crawfish were carrying a lot of eggs. His goal is to let the ponds repopulate and give the remaining crawfish more time to grow, since most of them are still on the small-to-medium side.

With that being said, OceanRoots Fresh Seafood Company will still be operating the food truck as usual! We’ll continue serving all of your Cajun favorites while we wait for the next batch of quality crawfish.

As soon as we can get our hands on fresh live crawfish again, we’ll be back to:

🦞 Boiled crawfish by the pound.
🦞 Half sacks (15 lbs)
🦞 Full sacks (30 lbs)

We appreciate everyone’s patience and support. We’d rather wait and bring y’all bigger, better-quality crawfish than rush the process. We’ll keep everyone updated as soon as they’re available again!

🚨 Good news, crawfish lovers! 🚨

I just got a call with some unexpected news! I was told I’ll be able to get LIVE crawfish through September, and possibly even October! 🦞

I honestly thought crawfish season ended at the end of June, so this came as a surprise.

With that being said, would anyone be interested in buying live sacks of crawfish?

These will be PRE-ORDER ONLY. I can only get a limited amount each week, so I won’t be able to keep extras on hand. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to take last-minute orders on Fridays or Saturdays, so if you want some, be sure to place your order ahead of time.

And for those who don’t want to fool with cooking them at home, don’t worry—we’ll be boiling fresh crawfish on the OceanRoots Fresh Seafood Co. food truck too! 🔥🦞

Hey everyone! We were debating on bringing the food trailer back out this weekend, but with the weather not looking too great, we’ve decided to keep it closed this weekend.

If anyone needs fresh shrimp, snow crab legs, or anything else, please let me know by 12:00 PM Friday so I can get your order in.

If you’re looking for something I don’t normally carry, just send me a message and I’ll be happy to check availability and get you a price. As always, I can also get a variety of fresh fish fillet’s and fresh Gulf oysters.
