After a lovely diner party last night, I realized I had french pressed too much Martinez coffee. I put it in the refrigerator overnight and now have the most delicious iced coffee I have ever tasted! His coffee is so rich and complex. I love it morning, noon, and night. As the weather gets warmer, I think about iced coffees. YUM. There are so many delicious recipes, but for the perfect one, it's ALWAYS starting with a Martinez fresh roasted coffee, a certain success..... I french pressed our Espresso Bellissimo. A little cream, crushed ice & mint, and a splash of Martinez lavender syrup. It is summer :)

When I serve for guests, I freeze basil or a mint leaf in the ice cube. The rich coffee makes such a great finish to any drink. Don't forget coffee cocktail hour. I have recipes for all summer. I'll post some soon.

We hope your Fourth of July weekend was delightful! The weather has been more than tolerable here in Atlanta and the cool mornings made our coffee taste even better.

The Peachtree Road Race here in Atlanta, which is run on the Fourth of July, is the largest 10K race in the world, with about 60,000 professional and amateur participants. Notable is that during the last five years the winners of both the men's and women's divisions have come from coffee producing countries. Coincidence? We think not.
