We have a sale!!! The farm stand, not the farm, will be closing in the first week of April. $5 for honey bears, jelly/jams, maple syrup, and bread. If you have bought eggs in the past, we know ya’ll by name, we will continue to provide what ya want. If you aren’t familiar with us, check our profile for our location From the Wind Farm
For those whom are curious, here are the pictures of the certificates/ registrations you should see to buy eggs from a farm stand (not required for them to post, yet look them up) Refer to agriculture.wv.gov. for egg rules.
You have to read the actual rules/laws for more details. As just on the surface, it looks like you can do whatever, specifically washing eggs. Not so!!!
As before, even if your NPIP certified, you may not sell unwashed eggs at a farm stand. Definitely can’t sell them if you’re not NPIP certified. https://www.poultryimprovement.org/statescontent.cfm. Plenty in this county do so on community pages.
We have always had our credentials in compliance with the laws displayed for you at our stand. Refer tohttps://wvfarmers.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Farmers-Market-Vendor-Guide-24-1.pdf for what can be sold at farmers markets or a farm stand, West Virginia law. Saying on the label that this was made under cottage law and not subject to inspection does not do it, for certain products.
Also look up if they have a valid business license:

Yes, I am wasting too much time on this stuff, but I care about our consumers and who is buying from whomever in this specific county. Not wasting time to educate!!!
Comments are not turned off on our farm page and our post btw and we address them!!! Others have blocked our discussions on local community pages 🤦♀️.
