I pulled off my last suppers that weren’t filled on my first extraction date so I let them fill them out. I looks like Goldenrod pollen and Giant Ragweed…I think. Tastes wonderful, I can’t wait to bottle it in some nice glass bottles and jars. Interesting photo of where it looks like they added to some already capped honey. The video you can see the honey spinning out

The other day I was talking to a neighbor down by the road and I heard a swarm, pretty easy to find but WAY up in a tree. After gathering a swarm trap since I couldn’t reach them and placing it up in the tree, they took off again grrrr. I followed them and they went and landed in an apple tree next to my first hive. Easy catch now, right. Just as I got ready to set the box down to shake the in a huge clump fell to the ground and they all went airborne again. Luckily they came back to the same spot. I finally got most of them in. Number 14 now. I have to think of a good name for this colony, I have names for all of them.  now to get them through the winter

Windy day at the Aurora Farmers Market, almost sold out of honey. 2 one lb bottles and a few 12oz jars left, time to bottle some more this week
