That's a fifty gallon water tub that the mamas dumped like 400 pounds is nothing to push over! I think I should sign them up as professional football players. They'll take out the biggest players at the knees!

Why is there a mudhole under the gate and the feeder? Because the mama pigs are related to beavers and keep re-routing the pond system they created. Piglets are 6 weeks old! They get a couple of extra days with their moms while the rainstorm passes and I get their shelter ready. This is how they help us work on their pen.

Breakfast mostly with Farmer's Market food. Not bad, eh? Scrambled eggs, spinach, cheese, fresh homemade salsa, ham and artisan bread toast. Tomatoes, jalapeno, bread from Farmer's market. Ham and eggs from our farm. See you tomorrow 9-noon (Saturday) at the Baker City Farmer's Market. Whole or half hogs available by $100 deposit. Ready in late January.

Are you interested in learning to tan a hide? We have 2 pig hides available from our spotted pigs. We took them fresh on butchering day and froze them so you could have a fresh pig hide to work on when you had a chance. $25 per hide. They are similar to this.
