So anyone who knows me knows I'm never on here, I usually pawn it off to a secretary or anyone else, but today I feel inspired. When I was in line at the local Baker city, Taco Time some lady purchased my lunch. (hopefully I didn't look like I needed it), Unfortunately I didn't notice what car she was driving, or anything else about her. The taco girl at the window simply said "some lady already paid for your lunch and said to tell you to have a great day!" I know it wasn't anyone I know because I don't know anyone where I live. I'm pretty much a hermit who lives under a rock in the woods. I just wanted to post this to share the love, and hope that some how the universe sends her some good Carma, and she gets the chance to somehow stumble on this post, and see her 10 dollars was well spent.
Never in my life have I ever had anyone do something like that for me, and it turned out to mean a great deal to me. At first I thought I should pay for the lunch of the people behind me, but when I looked back to see who was behind me there was a van that looked full of hungry people from bible camp so I figured; screw that idea! Instead I wanted tell anyone who would take the time to read this just to hear that some people are just so damn sweet!
So, to my mystery lady, if serendipity guides you to this post. I want you to know your lovely gesture really filled me up! You reminded me why some of the things in my life that I have been working on for a very long time, and mean a great deal to me, are worth suffering for. The last few weeks have been exceptionally exhausting, and you inspired me to pay it forward in more ways than this post. Even though you left the seen before I could acknowledge you for your random kindness, I have great confidence that you went home to people who I'm sure love you very much. Thank you, and I want you to know I shared some of my stuffed mexi fries with my best bud Ted. My name is Devon, and this is the Ted. Have a great day!
