The market community has become pretty saturated late and while that’s a beautiful thing in many ways, it also comes with its challenges.
With so many markets, pop-ups, and community events happening, vendors are often put in a tough position of having to pick and choose where they can afford to spend their time and money. There are only so many opportunities to show up and support local.
But here’s the thing: not every market is the same.
Some markets are big. Some are small. Some are focused on farmers and food. Others are filled with small businesses, makers, artists, and local entrepreneurs. And some just have that special feeling where you walk in and it feels less like a market and more like a community a place where vendors know each other, families come back month after month, and people genuinely feel connected. 🫶🏼
At the end of the day, when you support a market, you’re supporting local.
Whether it’s a farmers market, a community event, a small pop-up, or Bako Market, you’re supporting a small business owner, a local maker, a farmer, a family, or someone in our community who took a chance on their dream.
