Sourdough is so much more than a flavor or one type of bread. It is a process.

I loved having the opportunity to guide another incredible group of people through the sourdough process at

6 years ago, I baked my first loaf of sourdough and it was a total flop. Never could I have imagined what sticking with it, choosing consistency & curiosity over defeat would lead me.

I love the way food can bring people together and foster connection & community.

Playing with new flavors ✨️

🧀🌶Cheddar chili crunch sourdough focaccia is quickly becoming a favorite for my spicy loving friends.

☕️ I saw another baker do a tiramisu focaccia and could not resist. I love tiramisu and focaccia. It worked beautifully. Except for the cocoa, it definitely was not a delicilate & demure dusting 😂

🥖 One of my most requested bread flavors by my husband is a cinnamon raisin loaf, so I met him halfway with an attempt at cinnamon swirl 😉

Dimpled some chocolate chip cookie dough into some sourdough focaccia to see what happens 😉

I am already thinking of how I would do it differently.

The gift of being flexible and curious that sourdough baking has given me over the past five years has been a true blessing, one that’s rippled into other areas of life.

I encourage you to keep it simple at first. Focus on mastering the basics of maintaining a healthy, active starter and bulk fermentation. 😘

There is always something so fresh and exciting about a new year and I couldn’t be more excited for what’s to come! Here are a few updates and events coming up on the schedule:

I’m thrilled to be resuming monthly bread drops at this year! You’ll be able to grab small-batch, locally made sourdough on the final Friday of each month, alongside freshly roasted coffee from local roaster ☕️ What better way to close out the month than with sourdough bread, gluten-reduced beer, and a stock-up of beautifully roasted coffee?

What a wonderful second year of Bread By Bridget.✨️

I am incredibly thankful for the lessons learned, the connections and new friendships made, the support of friends, family, and local businesses, and most of all, my dear customers, both OG and new, who continue to support my small business. Whether you’ve purchased sourdough from me or trusted me to guide you in your own sourdough journey, I am truly grateful.💕

While my first love has been baking for the small but mighty community I’ve found, stepping into teaching sourdough has become a new love of mine. It is such a privilege to share what I’ve learned, empower others to try something new, and encourage people through the art of sourdough. At the beginning of the year, I set a goal of teaching one workshop per quarter and completely blew that goal out of the water, ending the year having taught 14 workshops. 🥲💗

I am so thankful for the people this small business has brought into my life and for the opportunity to bring a little joy, in the form of sourdough bread, to others. 🧡

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continued support. 🤍

I can’t wait to bake for and encourage even more people in Baltimore in 2026. 🥖
