It's a peachy kinda day🍊 here at Country Cottage! Just came back from Shaw Orchards located on the Mason Dixon line in beautiful White Hall, Maryland.

Peaches were just harvested this morning and are oh so fresh!!

Peaches and Pickles, Pickles and Peaches. So much going on at the Cottage!

Got to my favorite orchard in the early hours of the morning. The pickers just came from harvesting delicious Red Haven peaches and I was waiting for them 😉

Its time to pickle folks! I just made these delicious Carrot and Diakon radish pickles known as Do Chùa. These are used in a Vietnamese sandwich called Bahn Mi.

Get some baguettes and add some sriracha, some mayo, a splash of lime juice, some sliced Turkey, some fresh cilantro topped with this tangy Do Chua.

Makes a very tasty sandwich. 😋

Hey Country Cottage peeps

Canning season has officially begun!! Just came back from my favorite orchard, Pryor Orchards to pick some of their beautiful blueberries and apricots. Over an hour drive but well worth it. Blueberry, Apricot and Strawberry products are in the works!
