Iris and Irv Kaplan purchased the business in 1953. After almost 70 years of business we have decided not to continue further. We appreciate everyone and the support that you have shown us throughout the years. We will truly miss you all but we feel it is the right decision for our family to move forward to the next chapter of our lives. We love the customers, we love the business, and we are happy to have been able to serve the community and build many wonderful relationships over the years. We will truly miss you all. Mary has been by my side forever (close to 40 years) and I’ve truly loved spending my days with her, and she has sacrificed a lot for me. Ben sacrificed his last almost 10 years and has put his life/career on hold and stopped everything to come help me at the hardest of times and helped make things better for me. Jaira for the last 5 years has done the same for me. I don’t know where I’d be without these people helping, caring, and loving me. I’m very appreciative of these people and all help throughout the years as well as our Jacks Poultry customers. Best wishes to all!❤️

We are hoping to open back up one of these days. Thank you all for being loyal customers of ours as we’ve been slammed with nice voicemails and inbox messages. We appreciate you. Would like to take a moment to appreciate these 2 AWESOME ladies! Mary Petty and Jaira Boone (David) are essential to our operations and without them it would be very difficult to run the business. Thank you Mary and Jaira for your unconditional love and dedication and all that you do. Love you ladies ❤️

As of now the Baltimore Public Markets are closed. As much as we’d like to be open, we ALL must stay safe during these times. What I’d like to do is to add everyone’s cell phone numbers to a “Jacks Poultry” group. As soon as we get an update about reopening I can send out a text to keep you all up to speed. Also in the future could send out texts for specials as well but one thing at a time. IF you would like to be added to our “Jacks Poultry” group for Updates please message me your numbers and I can add you. I will of course post here as much as possible but the text would be more efficient.
