Yesterday I picked the first red tomato of the season! June 5th is now my record for having red tomatoes ready. Before it was June 23rd. BLT’s are on the menu for this evening. You all can start watching the farm stand for homegrown, handpicked tomatoes. 🍅

The tomato plants had overtaken the walkways. I’ve spent the last few evenings trellising and pruning so the walkway is narrow but clear. They say you can increase tomato production by 40% through trellising and pruning. It’s worth the work.
