Meet the Vendor: Free Spirit Creations

This week meet Brittany, of Free Spirit Creations!

I am a full time mom, full time paraeducator, and full time crocheter! My mom taught me how to crochet when I was 12, and I've been creating ever since. I'm a hands on learner, so my mom showed me the basics and I went from there. I don't use regular patterns for my work because I can't read them, so I create my own. Which is why I chose the name Free Spirit Creations!

As a single mom and someone who works with kids, I try my best to keep my prices low because I want everyone to be able to enjoy my creations! Crochet is also a passion of mine and something I'm constantly doing to keep my hands busy and mind creating. My work isn't about hours spent and supplies purchased, it's about having fun and spreading joy!

I've had a fun season at the Barre Farmer's Market, and I hope to be back again next year!

Due to the forecast for this afternoon and evening, we have made the difficult decision to cancel tonight’s Wednesdays in Currier Park, including the Barre Farmers Market, Food Trucks and Concert.

We’re disappointed, but we look forward to seeing everyone back in Currier Park next Wednesday for another great evening of food, music, shopping, and community.

Meet the Vendor: Cedar Brook Homestead LLC 🐓🐖

This week it’s all about Keith and Jamie Cushman of Cedar Brook Homestead. Their family-run farm has been a vendor at our Barre Farmers Market for many years. Their goat, Rosie, claims to be the market mascot and we’re ok with that!!!

What started as one child’s dream with a small backyard flock has grown into a thriving boutique farm on approximately 20 acres in Barre.

Stop by their booth to find locally raised pork, poultry, fresh eggs, and handcrafted goat milk soap.

Come meet the people behind the products and support another incredible local farm at this week’s market!
