The final step of the final batch for 2026!

Not a record year for us but pretty much everything went well and the syrup is light with amazing flavor! Time to tie up the loose ends and put things away in the shack.

We’re ready to ship!!

In the end, it comes down to small pots to finish what was on the divided pan. A few gallons to go and then it’s time to do the dishes!!

9+ gallons today and some great company! A fun cook to kick off the weekend. Not certain that the season will continue but we are ready for whatever comes next. Happy Easter!

Getting a little labeling done while we let the RO finish its work. Looks like this will be the last cook of the season - sugar content is dropping and the woods are warming up, regardless of the ice storm over the past 36 hours.
Then on to finishing and a lot of cleanup!!

The 5th cook fires up shortly!

We rebuilt the RO this year - firing it up for the first time is always a little stressful but the water test and wash went awesome! Time to filter some sap!
