This year's garlic is finally ready!

This is grown in heavy soils (clay-loam) in growing zone 4a. It has been grown using fully organic practices, but it is not certified organic.

I have three varieties, German Extra Hardy, German Red, and Spanish Red.

German Extra Hardy: porcelin variety, easy to grow, 4 or 5 very large cloves per head, around 20-30 cloves per pound, $10/lb. This has been grown for seven generations locally. Very strong garlic flavor, tall plants.

German Red: rocambole variety, this variety is known as "Sans Creek Red" adapted from northeast PA, 6-8 medium to large sized cloves per head, around 25-35 cloves per pound, $10/lb. This has been grown for three generations.

Spanish Red/Roja: rocambole variety, smallest of the three, 5-6 medium sized cloves per head, around 30-40 cloves per pound, $12/lb. Many consider this the finest tasting garlic, especially for roasting. Grown over five generations.
