Our company has been around since before 1895 fishing in Lake Huron and Saginaw Bay. A commercial fishery that's been fishing in Lake Huron since the early 1840s. Established in 1895 and has been owned by the Williams family for 45 years! A variety of Fresh and Smoked Fish available April through October!

Not a great start to the 2026 season unfortunately. 😥💙🐟 An accident last week totalled our Refrigerated Van. Grateful that no one was hurt and no fish were damaged. We were hauling $3,000 in Salmon and both drivers walked away unscathed so this could have been much worse. After much deliberation as a family, we found a slightly used Refrigerated van in Texas that will suit our needs! Always hard as a small business when these major expenses come up before they should..it brings up questions about whether it's all worth it. You get ahead a little, then you get knocked back down. We had to remind ourselves that we are resilant and can overcome anything. Thankful for Bay Port State Bank and their help with financing the van. They are the best at getting what we need done. Thanks as always Fish Folk for your continued support and love.

Over time, the views down here have changed. They have always been beautiful and will continue to be hopefully forever. 💙 Mother Nature is at her best when you are near the water, I think. Not yet Fish Folk!! Not quite yet!! 💙🐟 Whoa there Fish Folk!! We love your enthusiasm and calls with anticipation of Smelt, but they haven't started yet. We expect them to start late this season, due to old man Winter holding on up in the U.P. where they are caught. Could be 3rd or 4th week of April, we truly don't know until we get the call ourselves. One year, it was the first week of May..super late season that year. Make sure you are on our Smelt call list if you want some. Our call list gets first dibs on any Smelt that arrive. Customers get confused when they walk in to buy it off the counter and can't get it because it is all pre-sold by phone order before it arrives!! This is the fairest way we have found and the easiest way to avoid Smelt chaos. Send a private message with your phone number if you need to be added to the call list. We have over 1,000 names currently, so be patient if you're not called for the first batch. You will be called if you are on our list. When the call comes, if you can't answer please get back ahold of us with a confirmed order or you won't get any!! You can call, text or FB private message. All methods will be answered. So glad to be back Fish Folk! Open 7 days!!

Happy 76th Birthday to Captain Tod!! 💙🐟 So very grateful for your guidance all these years. Today is bittersweet for our family, due to Mom passing 10 years ago. My parents shaped this fishery into what it is today. Their hard work and absolute dedication to this place ensured its' survival. We are Open tomorrow, Saturday, regular hours. Closed for Easter Sunday. Back open regular hours on Monday. Come visit our family fishery! Glad to be back Fish Folk.
