hi… it’s the final day of juneberry 1.0. we made one last silly ramble video. paige even got on camera and then immediately remembered why she usually doesn’t (perpetual bitch face… not intentional, but also not entirely avoidable).

also, we hear this building is for rent? just putting that out there.

anyway, that’s us. we love you so much. we’ll have more words soon about what all of this has meant, but for now, come while you’ve still got time. cake, tamale pie, noodle bowls, bread, bread pudding… all the good things, one last time. see you soon!

04/29/2026

hi! it’s the day before our final day! it’s weird! we’ve got tamale pie + sweets! and everything in the store is 40% apart from bakery. so take it! please!

a few things we missed: 1. we’ve got some killer salmon cream cheese dill bagels today! 2. also, the fan favorite beet apple hazelnut soup!

we have a secret for you…😉

spring has sprung! open 10–5. here’s brie and danny, unscripted as ever. at one point paige (behind the camera) gets a little irritated at the chaos and would also like to apologize for her pronounced breathing. we think you’ll like it anyway.

we know a lot of you are about to enter a bit of a sweet's withdrawal when we temporarily close. so, in a grand gesture of kindness to alleviate your pain and suffering (okay, maybe that’s a touch dramatic), we’re opening up pre-orders for frozen juneberry cookie dough to get you through the months we’ll be closed.

stock your freezer now, thank yourself later. all you’ll need is a working oven and the ability to follow some very basic instructions. we’ve got craisin chocolate flax, buckwheat chocolate chip, and snickerdoodle.

pre-orders are open now through april 19th, with pickup available anytime we’re open between april 22nd and april 30th. you can find everything through the “online shop” button on our website (juneberrycornerstore.com) or in the comments section below.

and yes, april 30th is our final day open at 250 rittenhouse. we’ve had a lot of folks asking if we’ll be doing pop-ups or selling food anywhere while we’re closed, and the short answer is no. the slightly longer answer is that it doesn’t really function as a revenue generator for us while we focus on building out the next space. so this is your moment! fill your freezer. we’ll miss you, and we’ll see you on the other side.

first things first: this cake is not available today, sorry!! just a very pretty birthday cake we made for our pal last summer.

posting it now because spring is feeling…very far away (it is literally snowing outside right now), but it’s not! we’re holding onto hope! also, shamelessly, for the algorithm so more of you see this :-)

anyway, we have a little update as we head into our last month here. our final day at this location will be april 30th (emphasis on this location…updates on our new location to come!)

we’re winding things down, which means we’re not repurchasing a lot of items. so if there’s something you love, now’s the time to grab it.

new hours for april:
wednesday–sunday
10am–5pm

come see us HERE while you can ❣️

The past few days since we shared that our lease wasn’t renewed have been…everything. Heartening, heartbreaking, overwhelming, uplifting, exhausting. If you saw me cry at the register, thank you for letting me have a moment (and for politely looking away). I wish I could hug every one of you (even though I’m not usually a hug person) and tell you it’s going to be okay. I believe that. We’re just not there yet.

You’ve shown up in the kindest, funniest, most human ways—“I saw the post,” “I’m so sorry,” or a few well-placed expletives. You’ve shared ideas, memories, and so much love for Juneberry. It’s meant more than I can say.

We are incredibly grateful. Truly. You’ve reminded us of what this space has meant and brought so much light to a really hard moment.

Many of you have asked how to help. We’re working on a new location (things are promising!), but we’ll need to close for a bit during the transition. That pause, plus buildout costs, means we need help keeping our team paid and together. We’ve set up a fundraiser for those of you who've asked how you can help. 100% goes directly to staff wages while we’re closed. Also, we had to "photoshop" Seth into the fundraiser photo...and I think we created a masterpiece.

If you’re able to donate, thank you. Thank you for caring, for showing up, and for being part of this. We can't wait to share everything we're scheming up.

With so much gratitude,
Paige + the Juneberries

We want to share an important update about Juneberry. We will not be continuing our lease at 250 Rittenhouse Ave. After our doors had been open for six months, a business built slowly through the quiet of winter, we were offered a lease renewal with a rent increase of over 40% and a short window to decide if we would accept. About a week later, that offer was taken off the table, and we were informed the lease would not be renewed, making it impossible for us to continue operating in this space. We are deeply sad to be leaving a building we love so much.

Building this little store has meant the world to us, truly. It feels a little hokey to say, but we’ve come to feel protective of it, like it’s a person. We had to let it become something before we could even say what it was. We wanted it to grow into itself quietly and honestly, without the pressure to define it too quickly. And it did.

You can feel it in the regulars who come in for their daily coffee, the ones who buy all the soup before we’ve even had a chance to write our soup of the day sign, and the people who stop in just to say hi and leave with a giant leek. We love you all. You’ve kept us going.

If we had to distill it down, it’s this: for us, cooking is about loving and being loved. It’s self-care and caring for others. Opening this little store to share food and beautiful ingredients we find delicious has been our love letter.

And that doesn’t end here. Don’t despair yet. I mean, feel free to despair a little bit on our behalf. But Juneberry is still very much alive! We’re in the process of figuring out what comes next, what we’ve been (somewhat jokingly) calling Juneberry 2.0. A new home, a new shape, a new evolution of everything this has been becoming. We’ll share more as we know more.

In the meantime, we plan to remain open in our current space through April, at least. If you want to experience Juneberry in this chapter, we would truly love to see you. We’ll also be slowly phasing out our grocery over the coming weeks, so if you’ve been eyeing a bottle of wine, some fancy tinned fish, or a pantry staple you love, now is a very good time to stock up.

And our team… they deserve their own moment. Working with friends can go a lot of ways, but we feel lucky every single day to be surrounded by people who are so talented, kind, funny, and almost always game for anything. And when they’re not game for something, it's probably because it was a bad idea. They are a huge part of what makes Juneberry what it is.

We’re starting to imagine what the next chapter of Juneberry could look like, and we’d really love your input. Things may be a little different, but our hope is to carry forward the parts that matter most. If you have a couple minutes, we put together a short survey to help us understand what you love, what you’d miss, and what you’d be excited to see next. It truly means a lot to us to build this with you. The survey is linked in the comments.
