Spring has sprung this week finally and we have a few very exciting veggies in self serve for the weekend- the first of our cucumbers(!!!), Spring Mix, Spinach, and broccolini all available 9-6 each day, cash or Venmo only!

Tomato Plants we have are: Sakura, Queen Bee, Honey Bee (limited quantities), Toronjina, Sunpeach, Valencia, Striped German, Scarlet Red, Caimen, Bobcat,
Pepper Plants available: Flavorburst, Revolution, Carmen, Goddess (banana), jalapeno
Flowers available: Mountain Mint, Zinnia, Cosmos, Basil Aromatto, Strawflowers, snapdragon, dahlia plants and tubers, peonies

The good news- we do have plenty of tomato, pepper, herb, lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, broccolini, watermelon plant starts available for self serve today. The bad news- due to the cold temps this morning, we do not feel comfortable pulling plants out until later today, probably around 1:00!

Just a few more days until Friday Plant Sale! Swipe through the pictures to see a list of the tomatoes we plan to offer this year! We chose tried and true heirlooms, lots of fun cherry tomato varieties, and some old and new red slicers. One thing we’ve heard from all of you is that you’d like an earlier maturing tomato, so we decided to try Early Girl and Caiman tomatoes which are known to produce fruit earlier in the season! See you all Friday 12-3 or Saturday 10-3!

This week, most of these seedlings are getting potted up into the 4 inch pots that they are sold in for our plant sale. We’ve carefully selected the seeds, used the best organic potting soil, and kept them watered and warm in our propagation house. Now it’s time for them to grow and establish their root system, so that they can go into your gardens in just a few weeks! 🌱 Plant Sale info is live on our website, so go check it out at www.threetreesfarm.net/plantsale

Life on the farm during a winter storm ❄️
*FYI- our tractor is not starting for Matt to be able to plow our driveway, so we are still not open for self serve eggs. We are hoping to get a part tomorrow, get the driveway cleared and open up by Wednesday!
*Penny loves going out with the boys to check on animals, collect eggs, play, abd build forts ❤️
*the chickens will do anything to stay out of the snow by perching on goats’ backs and/or perching in trees
*Matt and Liam spent most of the day Saturday moving lots of leaf compost into three of our tunnels, then moving each of the coops into a tunnel to keep the chickens protected from the elements
*Raising chickens on pasture means heading out to collect eggs every few hours and some of them still freeze!
