A few weeks ago I challenged the boys to can their own batch of pickles…start to finish. So while I was at work they picked and washed the cucumbers🥒, made the brine, washed the jars, 🫙filled them, and completed the canning process all on their own. I guess they are learning pretty well after helping for so many years.
So here’s their very own first batch of pickles! Anyone interested in purchasing these from the boys? 💰 Maybe it’ll encourage them to keep doing more on their own! 🫙🥒

Getting some canning done before this week’s heat rolls in! 🔥🥫

Any guesses what’s inside these canners? 👀 Hint: this is one of my absolute favorite things to keep stocked on the shelf year-round. Once the pantry starts getting low, I get a little nervous.

Answer: Canned Beef! This is definitely a go-to quick, but hearty meal. It’s so good over mashed potatoes!
