💐Meet the Producer Monday 💐

There’s something a little different about adding flowers to your grocery order.

They aren’t something you need for dinner that week. They’re simply something that makes your kitchen table, your home—or someone else’s day—a little brighter.

And that’s exactly what Jodi from Wild Blooms Farm brings to Healthy Roots.

Jodi is a local flower farmer and portrait photographer who grows beautiful, chemical-free seasonal blooms right here in our community. What she brings to the market changes along with the growing season—late spring ranunculus give way to summer favorites like zinnias, and eventually those incredible dahlias and sunflowers we get to enjoy as fall approaches.

That seasonality is part of what makes locally grown flowers so special. There’s no year-round catalog to choose from. You get to enjoy what’s blooming right now.

And we love that.

So when you see a Wild Blooms bouquet pop up in the market, know that those flowers were grown locally, harvested in season and arranged by Jodi before making their way into your Thursday order.

Food may be the heart of Healthy Roots, but we think there should always be a little room in the grocery bag for flowers, too. 💐

This week, we’re bringing a little coffeehouse inspiration to the Market with locally roasted organic coffee, coffee-inspired treats, cozy mixes, and a few fun extras.

Whether you’re a serious coffee drinker or just love all things warm, cozy, and café-inspired, there’s something special waiting for you this week.

Ordering opens at 8am Saturday morning!

It’s Market Pickup Day!

Today is the day your local groceries make their way from our farms and producers to your table! Thank you for supporting Healthy Roots Local Market—we’re especially excited to welcome several new customers this week!

Here’s everything you need to know for pickup and delivery:

🌿 Farm Pickup – 6:00 PM
Drive through and we’ll load your order directly into your vehicle. Please remember to bring your own totes or reusable bags to transfer your items, as farm pickup orders are not packaged in paper bags.

🚚 Home Delivery – Beginning at 7:30 PM
You’ll receive a text message when we’re on our way. If you won’t be home, please have an appropriately sized cooler with ice packs waiting in a safe location so we can leave your order. Home delivery orders will arrive packaged in brown paper bags.

📍 Woodhaven Community Pickup – 8:00 PM Sharp
Please park in the main office parking lot, and we’ll meet you with your order. Woodhaven pickup orders will also be packaged in brown paper bags for easy pickup.

As a reminder, Healthy Roots Local Market does not have a storefront or storage facility. Because of this, we are unable to hold orders beyond your scheduled pickup or delivery time. If you’re unable to make it, please arrange for someone else to pick up your order or contact us before your scheduled time.

We’re looking to add another local beef producer!

Thanks to the incredible support from our community, Healthy Roots Local Market has grown faster than we anticipated this season. We truly thought our current beef supply would carry us through the year, but our customers have embraced locally raised beef in a big way!

Our current beef producer has done an amazing job keeping up with demand, but we’d love to expand our offerings by partnering with another local beef farmer to help serve even more families.

As always, we’re looking for producers who share our commitment to quality, transparency, and serving our local community.

🌱 Meet the Producer Monday 🌱

One of the best parts of pickup day is getting to know the people behind your food.

If you’ve picked up an order from Healthy Roots Local Market before, you’ve probably seen Melanie from Crated Earth Farm with her signature cup of coffee in hand! Together they’re always there helping make pickup day a little friendlier. ☕️

But her work starts long before Thursday.

At Crated Earth Farm, Melanie and her husband Shane grow non-GMO produce without the use of pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizers. They believe in farming with nature, using sustainable practices that care for the land, and they’re proud to be Certified Naturally Grown.

Every basket of fresh vegetables they bring to the market is the result of months of hard work and a commitment to growing clean, high-quality food for our community.

We’re so thankful to have Crated Earth Farm as part of Healthy Roots Local Market. Be sure to check out everything they have available this week!
