Hey guys! It's Russell, owner of Pat's Village Deli, husband to Grace, father to two teenage boys and Head Coach of the GR football youth program.

I know it's been awhile since I've been on here. But since social media is where its at now, I'm here to re-introduce myself to my friends, new friends and followers.

This is my first post on IG! I know I'm about 24 years late...

I'm not much of a social media person, that's why it will probably be my wife who will doing most of the postings, stories etc.. But I will be on here as well checking things out! So if you have any questions or comments, reach out.

I'm posting this article and circling back on how Pat's Deli has been around for 80 years! A little bit about me and my business...

It all started back when my father Pat, short for Pasquale, opened up the business in 1937 with his sister Josephine who has since passed. They ran the business serving to the local neighborhood. I would help my Dad and my aunt everyday after I got home from school, first stocking the shelves and cleaning and then moved on to making sandwiches and working the register.

I enjoyed working here as a kid and witnessing all the local neighbors coming in to get their subs, fresh bread and homemade pasta as well listening to all the local "guys" who would hang out to have their coffee and tell tales of the Silver Lake neighborhood. Yes, there was once a lake here in town.

After I graduated college and received a BA in Management many moons ago, I decided why not run the family owned business? And the rest is history!

I'll be sharing food, deli stories, how we do here at Pat's Deli and who we're happy to serve in the local area so please give me a follow and share our posts and stories!
