A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to the Monster Dogs Trunk or Treat event today! 🎃🐝❤️

Thanks to your generosity, $158 was raised to help us rebuild our apiary! We are so grateful to Monster Dogs for thinking of us and to everyone who continues to support our family and our bees.

I’ll be sharing an update on our search for new bees very soon, and I have to say, I’m pretty excited about what’s happening! 🐝❤️

We are so excited, and more than anything, so incredibly thankful. ❤️🐝

To everyone who has donated, stopped by our shop, placed an online order, shared our story, or simply reached out to check on us—THANK YOU. The love and support we’ve received through this tragedy have meant more to us than you could ever know.

Yesterday, something happened that gave us a little more hope!

A beekeeper stopped by our shop and shared that he’s getting ready to retire. He wanted to know if we might be interested in purchasing his bees, hives, and equipment. He has around 30-something hives he’s looking to sell!

He’s about an hour away and has invited us to come take a look at everything. His bees are already prepared for winter, which makes this opportunity even more exciting for us.

We still need to go see everything and figure out the details, but after everything we’ve been through, it feels so good to have something positive to look forward to.

Losing 35 hives in the flood was devastating, and while nothing can replace the bees we lost, this could be an incredible opportunity to start rebuilding.

We want to take all of you along on this journey with us! From visiting this beekeeper and seeing his operation to hopefully bringing new bees home and rebuilding our apiary. 🐝❤️

We know rebuilding won’t happen overnight, but for the first time since the flood, we’re starting to feel hopeful again.

To everyone who has helped us, whether through a donation, a purchase, sharing our story, or simply offering kind words, please know how much it means to our family.

You are all part of this journey, and we can’t wait to share what happens next.

Quick little update. ❤️

We actually found another hive floating down the creek today. Mursel found it and was able to get the bees to safety, so that was a little bit of good news in the middle of all of this.

I also wanted to let everyone know that I did start a GoFundMe. We’ve had so many people asking how they can help, so I wanted to have something available.

Please know that I do not expect anyone to donate. I know things are hard for so many people right now, and the last thing I ever want to do is make things harder on anyone. If you’re able to and want to help, we’re incredibly grateful. But even sharing our story, stopping into the shop, placing an order, or simply checking in on us means more than you know.

I’m just so overwhelmed by the amount of love and support we’ve received these past few days. I don’t even really have the words for it.

I truly don’t even know how to thank everyone for the overwhelming amount of love and support you’ve shown us.

We are so incredibly thankful to have such amazing neighbors, friends, customers, and people in our community who have reached out, offered to help, shared our story, and simply reminded us that we aren’t going through this alone.

I’ll be honest, after seeing the devastation and realizing how much we lost, I wanted to give up. I felt completely defeated. But the support we’ve received over the last day is giving me the strength to keep going.

And we do have a little bit of good news — we are going to be able to save a couple of the hives.

A huge thank you to Nancy Scott and Bryan Rice for helping us get to some of the bees that were reachable and doing what we could to save them. Seeing those bees still fighting after everything they’ve been through makes me want to fight for them too.

There is still a lot to figure out, and we know we can’t replace what was lost overnight, but we’re not giving up.

I’ll continue to update everyone as we figure out our next steps.
