Back in the lab working on the next jarred salsa. We recently released the fire roasted and it has been extremely well received. This one is a mango habanero salsa, first small test batch. We are also working on a mild verde salsa. We still need to do more testing on both recipes but hoping to roll them out before summers end. Have a great weekend, Tim.

New Product alert. Fire Roasted Salsa featuring our in-house fire roasted jalapeno, roasted onion, tomato and bell peppers. We will be releasing it this weekend at the Farmer's Markets. This year we are attending both days of the Omaha Farmers Market - Saturday is in the Old Market and Sunday is at Aksarben Village, we hope to see you there. Tim

🌶️ Calling all chili heads! Three weeks from today on Saturday January 31st is our 4th Annual Shane’s Spicy 🥵 Challenge at 1 p.m. We have 6 more slots available.

Below are the details of the competition and how to sign up to compete. And if you don’t want to compete, stop down to watch the contestants suffer through the challenge. It’s quite a spectacle!

Shane, along with each participant, will have 15 minutes to drink one pint of Chupacabra Mexican style Lager steeped with fresh 🌶️Carolina Reaper and 🌶️Ghost Peppers, and eat 8 chicken wings slathered in a buffalo sauce made with fresh 🌶️Carolina Reaper, 🌶️Dragon’s Breath, 🌶️Trinidad Scorpion, and 🌶️Ghost Peppers. Once completed, you must wait out a five minute after burn where you cannot drink anything until the five minutes are up. There are no pepper extracts, only fresh peppers in the sauce and the beer. If you complete the challenge, you win a prize!

To sign up for Shane’s Spicy Challenge, private message us with your name and phone number. The cost to enter the challenge is $18 which covers the cost of the wings and beer. The first person to complete the challenge wins a $40 Monolithic gift certificate that can be used on your next visit. Everyone else who completes the challenge within 10 minutes wins a $20 Monolithic gift certificate that can be used on their next visit.

Today marked our 15th year participating in the Aksarben Holiday Market. The top photo shows my daughter Shelby at the first one with our little table of Volcano Dust. We've come along way since then and we'll always have love for the Omaha Farmers Market We will be ready to go again Sunday. If you didn't make it today we hope to see you tomorrow. Cheers, Tim
