It's time for figs!!! 🥳 This fig tree was the first thing I ever got to stay alive through a winter, amd now she is my bestie every Fall! Hoping to get enough figs this year to make a fig jam for the farm stand. Until then, it'll be hard not to stop and have a snack every time I drive past! 😆💜

**Side note: My husband recently had a little accident, so he's my captive garden buddy the next week or two. At least he will have fresh snacks! ☺️

We've been so busy around here that I haven't been posting much! Plenty of new goodies, and the first flavored loaves we've had out in quite a while! You'll find a few full-sized Italian Herb loaves on the stand Thursday, and some mini Everything But the Bagel Sourdough Rolls on Friday, and all kinds of goodies through the weekend as usual! 😊

Gardenade! A quick electrolyte drink that also tastes like you're drinking a pie. Could it get better?! I found an old rhubarb "lemonade" recipe, made a few tweaks, and now it might be our new favorite thing ever! If you grow rhubarb, try it out! I'm working on making a powdered drink mix version. Fingers crossed that it works out! 🤞

CITY RANCH GARDENADE:
4 cups chopped rhubarb (fresh or frozen)
3 cups water
1/2 cup sugar
1-2 Tbsp lemon juice (optional for an extra kick)
**Blend and strain all ingredients, serve over ice, add sparkling water to give it a fizzy finish if you want. Tips: Add a few strawberries to really give it a pie taste, or blend everything together frozen and replace water with ice to have as a smoothie!

I LOVE potatoes. Full stop. 😆🥔🫶

We quadrupled the garden size this year, so I knew that I would need a few easy, versatile crops that would feed our family well. Potatoes fit that need perfectly! I can't wait to see if purple potatoes will blend into a pink mashed potato. 😍
