Heads up, Avalon and the greater Bellevue community!

On Monday, February 2, at 7:00 AM, crews from Carmel Construction will assist the Borough with snow removal along California Avenue. Crews will begin at N. School Street, continue through the business district, past the Avalon Loop, and across the bridge to the Ben Avon boundary.

There will be NO PARKING ALLOWED on this portion of California Avenue from 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM on Monday, February 2. The municipal lot next to Borough Hall will be open, and meter restrictions will not be enforced while crews are working.

Please contact the Borough of Avalon for any questions or updates.

We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your patience while the Borough employs all available resources to dig out from last week’s storm.

'Twas the day before Light Up Night, when all through the town
Bona Fide Bellevue volunteers were stirring, nailing final plans down
The lighting was hung down Lincoln Avenue with care,
In hopes that the community soon would be there!

Make a plan to stop by Lincoln Avenue tomorrow, Saturday, December 6th, from 5 - 9 PM for community fun and holiday cheer! Make sure to dress warm, as the weather may bring us a winter wonderland!

All are welcome to attend this free event, which includes an outdoor holiday market, live music, children's activities, tree lighting, a special visitor from the North Pole, and more!

How cute are these ornaments?! They will be available for purchase at Light Up Night for $15 each. The proceeds will benefit Bona Fide Bellevue and the Bellevue Farmers Market.

In addition to the ornaments, we will have market merchandise and market gift certificates for the 2026 market season. These certificates come in $5 increments and are the perfect gift for the person in your life who is already counting down the days (179 days, if you were wondering) to the 2026 market opening.

We will also be holding a raffle for a market basket full of your favorite market products and a wine basket with two bottles of wine, hand-painted glasses, and chocolate bars. All proceeds from the raffle will benefit the farmers market.

We can’t wait to see you on December 6, from 5 - 9 PM, on Lincoln Avenue for a neighborhood holiday celebration!
