When we need rest, we can rely on others in our life to care for us and work on our behalf. The paralytic man had friends determined to get him to Jesus for healing, but with the crowd the only way was to lower him through the roof! I pray we all have people like that in our lives 💜

Going to a solitary place is sometimes necessary to “find a time where you stop running and embrace rest.” (Day 10 of the plan 'Run / Rest: A 40 Day Journey Toward Rest'. Check it out here: https://www.bible.com/en/reading-plans/24728)

It seems impossible to take a day off from all work, but it is important. The Sabbath is a gift from God! It was one way to show the Israelites in the Wilderness about their new life out of slavery.
When we work all the time it can feel like slavery so let’s be intentional about taking our weekly Sabbath.
