Sandwiches • Breakfast • Bakery & Desserts • Soups & Salads • Deli • Local Meats & Cheese • Groceries • Wine & Artisan Products • Catering • Farmers Market • Community Events & so much more! Bennington Community Market is a community-supported grocery store that supports local farmers and makes healthy food accessible to everyone in our community. The mission

of the Bennington Community Market is to support local farmers, increase access to healthy food for all members of our community, and contribute to the revitalization of downtown Bennington. The market will be a year-round hub to enjoy seasonal cooking and eating, as well as to provide grocery staples and take-home meal options from our kitchen. In partnership with area organizations that work with food-insecure populations, our Healthy Food Access Fund will provide discounts to our neighbors in need. We are thrilled to share that the Market, along with other partners in the Bennington Fair Food Initiative, was recently nominated for a federal earmark by Representative Peter Welch to support our regional food system efforts. The vision of the Bennington Community Market is to promote sustainable local agriculture, contribute to the revitalization of downtown Bennington, and increase access to healthy food for all members of our community. In partnership with local farmers and food producers, the Market will sell fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, grains, dairy products, beverages, and more from around the region. The Market will also offer prepared foods—including a bakery and coffee station—available to take home or for in-store dining. Bennington Community Market has chosen a nonprofit model as this allows us to put our mission first—supporting local farmers and making healthy food accessible to everyone in our community. The Market's board of directors is committed to being representative of the community it serves; the bylaws state that the board must include at least one farmer and one member of the Bennington Hunger Council.

One of our local photographer has her items here for purchase, we want you to get to know the small local businesses you’re supporting, so take a moment to read a bio from Stephanie Ryder:

“Steph Ryder is local photographer who takes candid pictures of things and scenery that catches her eyes..!!
A lover of color, especially blue,Steph has been creative in trying new things in her photography....I love to be creative with a photo...making a distinctive view of the subject in an abstract way or playing with double exposures...making it fun and different.
Through My Eyes~Steph Ryder has a photo page which shares a “Good Morning” post on a few pages that she has been doing for a few years.
“I am not a professional photographer”
I don’t do weddings or portraits, senior pictures,or engagements. There are some great photographers out there!
BUT I will do candid shots at an event as sometimes the photographer is busy with the bridal party and the sequence of events.
My best experience doing candids was at the very successful and emotional fundraiser for Finley Scanlon who had been diagnosed with Cancer
It was a beautiful event and I was glad to have been able to provide memories for the clubs involved and the Scanlon family!
Through My Eyes~ Steph Ryder has photos for sale at Bennington Museum,Monument Art Center, and BAM (Bennington Artisan Market) formerly Jay’s.
A Vermonter born & raised, moved to the Bennington area in the 70’s, a graduate of Leland & Gray Seminary in Townshend..a transplant of sorts.....married and raised 3 children,Sean,Jason & Sarah.”

Stop in and support Steph by buying some of her greeting cards or prints!
