🌱 Meet Your Local Vendors: The Kitchen Witch 🌱

Meet Alex and David, the duo behind The Kitchen Witch — a unique and evolving vendor bringing something a little magical to the market! What started as a bakery and home goods booth has now grown into an interactive experience featuring their adorable bunny petting zoo, along with accessories, home goods, and fun extras like hair feathers.

Their journey began last year with baking and creating, but everything changed when they adopted their first rabbits, Molly and Obby. They quickly fell in love and dove into learning all they could — even becoming members of the ARBA. Now, they’re excited to share that passion (and plenty of bunny snuggles!) with the community.

Alex has always had an entrepreneurial spirit, finding creative ways to start businesses even from a young age. Her love for community, animals, and creativity naturally led her to become a local vendor and create something that brings joy to others.

What they love most about the market is the connection — getting to know people in the community and working alongside other vendors to create a welcoming, supportive environment. To them, shopping local means directly supporting the lives and passions of people right in your own community.

A fun fact: their bunnies are known for giving the BEST snuggles, and their hair feathers can last up to 1–2 months!
Whether you’re stopping by for some bunny love or a fun pop of color in your hair, The Kitchen Witch is sure to bring a little extra joy to your market day 🐰✨

Come see them at the Benton Farmers Market this Saturday!

We are pleased about this week's events. Last Saturday, I was approached by two customers who invited me to participate in the Millwood Station Farmers Market. I contacted the market manager, received the application, and was approved. I will be attending the market on the first and third Friday of every month through October. I am very excited about participating in all three events scheduled for this week.

🌱 Meet Your Local Vendors: Sweetiepea’s Sweets 🌱

Meet Kelli Palmer, the heart behind Sweetiepea’s Sweets! Born and raised right here in Benton, Kelli was a longtime farmers market shopper before finding the courage to step behind the table as a vendor — and she’s been sharing her love of baking with the community ever since.

Sweetiepea’s Sweets offers a variety of homemade baked goods, each made with care and a true passion for bringing people together through food.

Her journey started with a simple conversation in high school. When Kelli was unsure about her future, her mom reminded her that baking was her happy place — the thing that truly lit her up. That moment sparked a dream that has now become a reality. From there, Kelli imagined a space filled with people connecting over something simple and joyful: good food.

What she loves most about being a vendor is the connection — meeting new people each week, building relationships, and even seeing familiar faces through her sister, who often joins her at the market. She also treasures the friendships formed with fellow vendors, sharing laughs and even trading goods with one another.

To Kelli, shopping local means empowering small businesses and supporting your neighbors. It’s about finding fresh, unique, and personal items you simply can’t get anywhere else.

A fun fact: Sweetiepea’s Sweets is a woman-owned, family-run business! Kelli’s mom and sister are right by her side, helping with packaging, labeling, and setting up each week.

A must-try favorite? Her lemon squares — made with real, fresh lemon and baked to perfection. No matter how many batches she makes, they’re still just as irresistible every time. 🍋

Be sure to stop by Sweetiepea’s Sweets this season and treat yourself to something homemade and delicious 💛

🌱 Meet Your Local Vendors: J&A Healthy Essentials 🌱

Meet Joe and Amy Lee, along with Elizabeth Peel, of J&A Healthy Essentials right here in Benton! This local team is passionate about helping families find safe, effective, and trustworthy wellness products while embracing a more holistic lifestyle.

At the market, J&A Healthy Essentials offers a variety of Young Living essential oils, diffusers, Thieves products, and supplements — all focused on supporting health in a natural, non-toxic way.
Their journey began seven years ago after Amy experienced low blood platelets and began exploring alternative wellness solutions. Through the use of essential oils and supplements, she was able to restore her health, which inspired them to share these products with others facing similar challenges. Today, Joe — a certified functional medicine health coach — and Amy use their knowledge and experience to help others navigate the often overwhelming world of health products.

What they love most about being a vendor is connecting with people in their community and helping them discover healthier options for themselves and their families. To them, shopping local means supporting the people around you and investing in your own community.

One fun fact: the oils they carry are such high quality that they can even be ingested!

A standout favorite is their Thieves line — a powerful, great-smelling blend known for its germ-fighting properties. From essential oils to their all-purpose cleaner, it’s a customer favorite for keeping homes fresh, clean, and toxin-free.

Be sure to stop by J&A Healthy Essentials this season and explore natural ways to support your health and home 🌿✨

🌱 Meet Your Local Vendors: Lizzy B’s BBQ Rubs and Seasonings 🌱
Meet John and Liz Burgess of Lizzy B's BBQ Rubs and Seasonings , based out of Alexander, Arkansas! This husband-and-wife team is passionate about helping people enjoy bold, flavorful food while still making health-conscious choices.

At the market, Lizzy B’s offers a variety of seasoning blends and BBQ rubs — all made with clean, sugar-free ingredients. Their products are perfect for those following keto or diabetic-friendly diets, without sacrificing taste.

Their business began from a very personal place. After John was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, he still wanted to enjoy smoking meats — just without the added sugar found in most seasonings. What started as a solution for their own kitchen quickly grew as friends and family began requesting jars of their blends, turning a need into a business.

As local vendors, John and Liz love being able to connect with their community and help others create healthy, delicious meals at home. They appreciate the supportive environment of the farmers market and enjoy building relationships with both customers and fellow vendors. To them, shopping local means investing back into the community and supporting the people you see every day.
One fun fact: there is absolutely no sugar in any of their blends!
A customer favorite is Grandpa Dave’s Original Seasoning — a versatile go-to that’s perfect on pork, chicken, eggs, and even veggies.

Be sure to stop by Lizzy B’s BBQ Rubs and Seasonings this season and add some serious flavor to your kitchen 🔥

🌱 Meet Your Local Vendors: Church House Coffee 🌱

Meet Tom and Amber Deaver of Church House Coffee Company, a family-run, faith-based business out of Avilla, Arkansas. With two children and four grandchildren (who lovingly call them Mimi and Papa Cheeze), their business is rooted in faith, family, and a passion for serving their community.

Church House Coffee offers fresh roasted coffee, available in whole bean or ground, along with espresso and coffee-based drinks. They’ve been roasting coffee for about three years and recently expanded their offerings by adding a drink menu in 2025.

What started as a small drop-shipping idea quickly turned into something much bigger. After realizing they could roast coffee themselves, Tom took a leap of faith—buying a book, a small roaster, and teaching himself the craft. From there, the business grew through encouragement from their church community, friends, and customers who couldn’t get enough of their coffee.

Their favorite part of being a vendor? The people. They love the relationships built at the farmers market—getting to know customers by name, seeing familiar faces each week, and being part of something bigger than just a transaction. To them, shopping local means supporting one another and strengthening the community they’re proud to be part of.

A fan favorite you won’t want to miss: their El Salvador Espresso Blend. It’s smooth, rich, and full of chocolatey flavor with no bitter aftertaste—perfect whether you’re sipping it black or enjoying it in one of their espresso drinks.

Be sure to stop by Church House Coffee this season for a fresh cup and experience the heart behind the brew ☕
