Bethlehem Farmers Market

Bethlehem Farmers Market Say YES to FRESH
Open Thursdays from April to November
Local produce, live music, grab & go food, handmade products, special events & more!

Home to 10-15 vendors with fresh produce, bread and baked goods, kombucha, fresh peanut butter, natural soaps, locally produced meat, sheep's milk yogurt and cheese, flowers, houseplants, smoothies, and prepared breakfast and lunch foods. The market's primary mission is to provide a positive environment for local farmers and producers to sell their products to the Bethlehem and greater Lehigh Vall

ey communities. The Bethlehem Farmers’ Market also creates opportunities for interaction and engagement between local residents and Lehigh University community members at a market that offers a unique shopping and lunch experience. Central to the success of the market is the education of community members. The Bethlehem Farmers’ Market strives to highlight the importance of proper nutrition and inform our patrons of the economic and social benefits of buying locally, from producer-only vendors. The market chooses vendors who offer products that abide by the guidelines of Buy Fresh, Buy Local of the Greater Lehigh Valley. The Bethlehem Farmers’ Market supports Lehigh University’s Campus Sustainability Plan and Master Plan.

🧑‍🌾 September is Self-Care Awareness Month, a time to prioritize our own well-being. As we kick off the month, let a visit to the farmers market help you practice self-care. Step away from your screens and engage with our community. Enjoy live music by Kristen Morgenstern while you shop for your weekly market staples, and take this opportunity to indulge in a tasty treat or a soothing skin care product. All in the name of self-care, of course!

Grab a friend and your reusable shopping bag and meet us at the market. We will be popping up in Farrington Square from 10 AM - 2 PM.

We hope the market becomes part of your self-care routine throughout September and beyond.

🌮 Craving a vibrant twist on your market day lunch? Pay a visit to Panchita’s Kitchen () for a bit of Latin fusion! The name “Panchitas” is a loving tribute to the chef’s grandmother, affectionately known as Panchita. Frances, the passionate chef and owner, utilizes premium ingredients evident in every flavorful bite of her artisan empanadas and hearty rice bowls.

The last week of August is Be Kind to Humankind Week (BK2HK), with today designated as Thoughtful Thursday. With that in mind, we kindly invite you to come down to the market and check out our lineup of friendly vendors and maybe take a moment to thoughtfully create a piece of art with our friends from LUAG.

Stop by the center of the market for hands-on activities hosted by teaching artist Rebecca Kelly, of LUAG. If you happen to find yourself at the market from noon to 1 PM, you can enjoy a special natural dye demonstration from our pop-up vendor, Tobi Indyke Cornelisse of Periwinkle Skies/Farm2Cup.

It’s official, school is back in session! Here at the market, we are looking forward to welcoming new faces, along with all of our Lehigh friends and fans who missed us over the summer break.

This week we are focusing on colors and we are excited to have a demonstration of dyes from Noon to 1 PM by our pop-up vendor, Tobi Indyke Cornelisse of Periwinkle Skies/Farm2Cup. Our friends from the Lehigh University Art Galleries will also be set up with a free hands-on activity. All this art will be taking place in the middle of the market, so be sure to stop by and have a colorful time!

You’ll also find an array of colorful vegetables and fruits on the tables of Lone Birch Microfarm. Stock up on easy snacking items like apples, cherry tomatoes, gherkin cukes, and more! Treat a new friend to a bouquet of cheery sunflowers or a vase of bright flowers, fresh from the farm!

There’s so much to eat and see and do at tomorrow’s market! We look forward to seeing you there!

A true staple of the Bethlehem community, Steak & Onions by Couch Pota.Doh! () is our market’s primary destination for those seeking hearty chicken or steak brioche sandwiches, paired perfectly with hand-cut fries and unique imported sodas.

Their signature Texas Toast Steak Brioche features thinly sliced ribeye, expertly seared and seasoned on the griddle, then finished with melted mozzarella and sweet caramelized onions. It comes accompanied by a serving of their aptly named "Best Fries."

For a different twist, try the Chicken Brioche sandwich, which combines tender sliced chicken breast with decadent candied bacon, melted cheese, and a vibrant sofrito vegetable blend, laid on a bed of crisp romaine and creamy mayo and served alongside those famous fries.

Make sure to swing by their booth and treat yourself this week

Let our vendors help you make the most of every one.

It’s National Farmers Market Week! This annual celebration highlights the vital role farmers markets play in our nation’s food system.

At the market, you can enjoy the fruits (and vegetables) of our local farmers' labor. Summer crops are rolling in now: tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, sweet corn, cucumbers, zucchini, and green beans, along with freshly harvested onions, garlic, and potatoes. A highlight this week is “mouse melons,” the crunchy sour gherkins that look like miniature watermelons.

Grab a friend and meet us at the market this week. Be sure to take this opportunity to thank and support your local small farms and businesses!

🧑‍🌾 In 2011, the United Nations designated July 30th as International Day of Friendship. This day recognizes the importance of friendship in our lives.

We’re excited to welcome some new friends to this week’s market! The Pierogi Kings will be making a one-time appearance, offering both ready-to-eat pierogi and packaged frozen pierogi. Available flavors will be original (cooper cheese and potato), bacon cheddar, buffalo chicken, garlic butter, and jalapeño. Come give them a try and take some home, too!

Physics grad student Reed Kennell will be adding music to sip, shop, and stroll by. Meet up with a friend at the market this week and celebrate these important connections! The market will be popping up at Farrington Square today from 10 AM - 2 PM.
