In the fall of 1978, Colin Kelly started his meat cutting career right here in Mecosta County. Colin went to work at Boven's Custom Butchering of Morley Michigan. The first year he worked there was the last year that Boven's processed deer. Seein

g the need for someone else to process deer was right in front of him. The first year 25 deer were processed in the back room of Colin's house. Now with the State of Michigan licensed building about 1,500 Michigan Whitetail Deer are processed per year. KELLY'S DEER PROCESSING is open virtually every day of Michigan's Whitetail season. From late September till January and out of season by appointment.
