Seeking a YVFM Assistant Manager/Security!
The Yellowstone Valley Farmers Market is seeking a dependable, organized, and community-focused Assistant Manager to also assist with security during the weekly market operations throughout the season.
Position Summary:
The Assistant Manager works closely with the Market Master to ensure smooth operations before, during, and after each market day. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist with weekly market setup and breakdown;
support vendor check-in and answer vendor questions;
help enforce market rules, policies, and safety standards;
assist with customer service and community engagement;
coordinate signage; handle basic cash and card transactions;
communicate professionally with vendors, customers, and staff
Qualifications:
Strong organizational and communication skills; knowledge regarding g basic security detail;
comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions;
ability to lift up to 60 pounds; weekend availability required; must have DL and be insurable
Previous security or management experience preferred, but not required.
Passion for local agriculture and community events is a plus!
Schedule:
This is a seasonal position, starting the third week in July and ending in early October, with fixed hours. Must be available for market days, setup times, vendor meetings, and occasional special events.
Compensation:
Pay dependent on experience.
Pay range $21.00 - $25.00
