This one hits very close to home for me.
Lisa Boyer wasn’t just someone I, Misty, knew growing up; she was like a second mom to me. She was one of those people you could always count on. If someone needed her, Lisa would do whatever she could to help, even if it meant going without herself. That is simply the kind of heart she has always had. 💜
Some people come into your life and leave a mark that never goes away, and Lisa is one of those people for me. I will never forget the love, kindness, and care she showed me throughout my childhood, or the memories we shared. Even though life has taken us in different directions and we aren’t as close as we used to be, Lisa still shows all that and more.
Now, Lisa is the one who needs people to rally around her as she courageously fights cancer.
On Thursday, September 17th, from 4:00–6:00 PM at the Winona Elementary Cafeteria, we will host a Fall Fun Night & Fish Dinner to support Lisa and her family. Fish dinners are just $8, and there will also be a 50/50 raffle. A portion of the funds raised will go directly to Lisa to help with medical and travel expenses.
If you know Lisa, have ever been helped by her, or want to support someone who has spent so much of her life caring about others, please come out and show her that same love in return.
