IMPORTANT- East Lake Farmers Market will be closed this Saturday October 10th 2026 due to the tropical storm and high winds.

We are sad to make the decision to cancel our last Market of the season, however with the expected high winds for Saturday morning, we must prioritize safety.

Thank you all so much for a great 2026 season and we look forward to May 2027! Follow our page to see all of the other great stuff we do in the our off-season!

As we are wrapping up our 2026 East Lake Farmers Market, we want to highlight one of our favorite programs that fight food insecurity during the summer.
From June- September every year, we deliver Senior Market Bags to 120 senior residents at East Lake House, Villa Maria I, and Villa Maria II. This year we were able to add Faush-Metropolitan Manor to our delivery list for 2 deliveries of 30 bags each! This program is completely grant-funded and fueled by volunteers. Not only does this program provide healthy, fresh, local produce to an important demographic- it also gives individuals a chance to connect with a friendly face.

This produce is purchased directly from our farmers at the Farmers Market- Dixon Family Farms, Whited Farm Produce, and Winfrey Farms. We were also able to provide an end-of-the-season treat to each participant, in the form of a 12oz honey bear from Boshells Bees! This means local farmers are also getting additional financial support during these months.

We want to give a special shout-out to our volunteers for the season!
YouthServe, Inc. has been volunteering with Senior Market Bags for many seasons now- we were actually named their 2026 Community Partner of the Year for their Youth in Service Awards!
Pell City First United Methodist is another one of our consistent volunteer groups!
We also had a group from Huffman United Methodist Church!
Big shout-out to all the other individual volunteers that signed up to help this year- this program would not be possible without each and every one of you!

It will be UAB Chopt's last week of cooking demos & samples, so make sure you come and support their student volunteers!

We will be open this Saturday, October 3rd, and next Saturday October 10th! Come enjoy fresh, local produce as we head towards the end of the season!
