This Saturday May 30, 2026 is Kid's Day at East Lake Farmers Market!

Regularly scheduled Farmers Market begins at 8am as we welcome back Dixon Family Farms for the first time this season 🎉; and returning vendors such as Winfrey Farms, Whited Farm Produce, Nothing but Love Homestead (Vanessa E Sanders), & Boshells Bees. These vendors work hard all year to bring us delicious, fresh, & local produce, honey, eggs, & edible plants!

Our farmers have been picking peaches this week so make sure you stop by to get the first of the season! 🍑

We will also have the Downstairs Diner with yummy baked goods
Sandy with live plants & art 🪴
Rooted in Wisdom Wholistic Services (full spectrum doula with salves & body butters)
Tribal Cultivation elderberry products
East Lake United Methodist Church Thrift Store 9am

Kid's Day Activities will begin at 9am with Music & Movement to kick things off! 🪇 We will have free books, crafts, & activities for kids of all ages! The Southern Museum of Flight will have a table set up with tons of knowledge about the Museum & limited free tickets✈️! A Birmingham Fire Truck will also be here at 10AM 🚒!

Volunteers Needed-Join Us Saturday Mornings to Serve Our Senior Community

Dear Friends,

We would love for you, your family, your youth group, or your organization to join us this summer for a meaningful opportunity to serve our local senior community.

Each Saturday morning from June 6, 2026 through September 26, 2026, volunteers will gather at East Lake United Methodist Church to help pack and deliver Senior Market produce bags to local senior facilities. These bags provide fresh fruits and vegetables to seniors in our community, and your time and helping hands truly make a difference.

Volunteer hours are approximately 7:00 AM until 10:00–11:00 AM each Saturday. Tasks include packing produce bags, loading vehicles, and helping deliver them to area senior communities.

This is also a wonderful opportunity for students or organizations needing community service hours. Groups, teams, and individuals are all welcome!

Whether you can serve one Saturday or several, we would be so grateful for your support. The mornings are rewarding, fun, and filled with purpose as we work together to care for our neighbors.

If you are interested in volunteering or would like to sign up for a Saturday, please let me know. We would love to have you join us.

Come grab some fresh, local strawberries; zuchinni; yellow squash; sweet potatoes; and honey! And don't forget the freshly baked cookies & cheesestraws from the Downstairs Diner! We'll also have apples, oranges, & bananas!
