Trudy is named after my Grandma. . .Rebecca Gertrude MacAdoo. She went by Gertrude and some people fondly called her Trudy! She was such an inspiration to me and my love and passion for baking. She helped me learn at a very young age the love and family that baking evoked! She was a wonderful women that was very talented. My best memories of her are sitting around this heavy round wooden table. .

.playing Yatzee. . . eating stew. . .and best of all the COOKIES! Granny was great at making cookies. She always had a few logs in the freezer (she had made) and ready to be cut up and baked. So this business is for her. . .I will be baking recipes past down and recipes that I have developed and created. Love and miss you Granny!

No the gems aren’t edible and YES I did let my client know she needed to remove before serving! But I am so glad she asked me to make this cake! It’s just so sparkly and girly!!.

Jillian’s 10th birthday Birthday treats!!!!

We had a quite the week celebrating our 10 year old! As you can tell dumplings were the theme!

I love getting to bake for her for a whole week straight! This is why I take the week off for her! I love this time of year and seeing what she will come up with next.

Her main cake was her own flavor creation:

Neapolitan Cake- vanilla bean cake layer // chocolate cake layer // strawberry cake layer // whipped cream and fresh banana filling // vanilla buttercream
