Fresh Vendors Lined Up For Sunday’s Bixby Farmers Market
BIXBY, Okla. (April 18, 2024) Taking place every other Sunday from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. (CDT) throughout spring and summer at Charley Young Park, the Bixby Farmers Market springs back to action this Sunday, April 21.
“Our opening weekend on April 7 had a fantastic turnout with vendors and residents taking part, and that really means a lot in getting the Bixby Farmers Market going again,” stated Ashleigh Ward, who coordinates the bi-weekly event with her husband, Matt Ward of Ward Worthy Farms.
“Obviously, as we get more into the growing season, we’ll have more fresh local fruits and vegetables. Talking with a few of our vendors, it looks like we should have some starting to roll in, along with a very diverse offering of area goods and services.”
Over 30 area vendors, along with food trucks, are scheduled to be on hand this Sunday. They will offer plants, candles, soups, seasonings, fresh vegetables, and everything in between. Face painters and bounce houses for kids, big and small, will also be on site.
Ashleigh also stated that they are working with McCause Horse Training to bring ponies to the Farmers Market soon for kids to interact with and ride.
