Just wrapped up a great week in DC with the National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition. I am grateful to for bringing and I here to advocate for small farms, disaster relief, and policies that help shape the future of US agriculture.

Thanks to the offices of USDA FSA administrator Bill Beam, Senator Tillis, Senator Budd, Representative Adams, and Representative Edwards for listening to our concerns.

I look forward to working together to create better systems to ensure that farmers of all sizes can thrive in Western NC as they work to feed and clothe the folks in our great state and beyond. I am returning hopeful, but also understanding that we have much work to do in order to build bridges on a number of levels. I was reminded that our voices, no matter how small they feel, matter. We will be following up!
