Grapefruit & Kiwi are two fruit offerings that we usually don't carry in the store! My favorite way to eat Kiwi is when its on a delicious fruit pizza!

Popular Ways to Prepare grapefruit include:

Classic / Fresh: Slice in half, sprinkle with sugar or salt, and eat with a spoon.

Broiled (Brûléed): Top the halves with brown sugar (and a dash of cinnamon) and broil for 2–3 minutes until caramelized.

Segmented (Supreming): Cut off the peel and bitter white pith, then slice between the membranes to pop out the pure citrus segments.

It's June 1st...and the total is..... $980.98! The designated round-up for the month of May was the McKellar Park Swim Pond! This money will help toward cost associated with the completion of the bath house, a universal changing station, and other needed items! The pond opened up over the weekend and MANY enjoyed themselves. The next day it opens is Saturday, June 6th from 1-5pm and 6-8 pm.

The round-up for the month of June has been designated for Argyle-Adams Volunteer Fire Department & Argyle Volunteer EMS. In severe medical events like cardiac arrests or strokes, rapid intervention is essential and we are so fortunate to have these groups! Local responders bridge the critical gap between an emergency occurring and reaching definitive hospital care which can be several miles/minutes away! The same can be said for a fire...waiting 20-30 minutes for a neighboring village to respond can be detrimental. In MANY small towns volunteer firefighters double as EMTs and first responders. They are often the first to arrive at car crashes on rural highways, ATV/farm accidents, or sudden medical emergencies, stabilizing patients until an ambulance can get there.
